2021.
I believe wholeheartedly that this year will be one of personal strength and power, as well as healing and growth. As time goes by, I feel myself growing more and more into my own shoes. The shoes I’ve scarcely been able to wear the past couple of years. It’s a beautiful feeling to feel like your true self.
As 2020 ended and 2021 took lead, I have felt the gold light from my vessel growing brighter and brighter. The color gold is, I have found, my deep and overarching aura color. I learned that through my journey one night last year.
A bit about me; in which you may not know, and may not understand (which is perfectly ok):
My name is McKenna Weinbaum. The name McKenna means “beloved of Aodh (fire)’” /fiery love. My north star; my purpose for being on this planet, is to bring more love into the world. My animal spirit guide, and whom my soul is deeply connected to, is the Red Dragon. My zodiac sign is an Aries, meaning I am assertive, persistent, and courageous. I am fiercely independent and I push forward with enthusiasm, and energy, persevering through anything. Aries is a fire sign. I am an ENFP, meaning that I am closer categorized as an extravert, I am intuitive, I am a feeler, and I perceive more than I do judge. I am spiritual. I was born half christian, half jewish, however I am not connected fully to any religion. With this being said, I have many various beliefs. The closest labeled religion I would associate myself with, would be Wicca. For, their beliefs revolve around nature, the Earth, and energy. There are many negative assumptions about Wiccans, simply because they are witches. The media, along with years of misinformation, have given awful representations of witches. To be a witch, is not to be evil, as many believe. The pentagram does not represent evil, but rather protection against evil. It is a symbol of faith, with each point of the star representing each element (earth, wind, fire, water, and spirit).
I am very closely connected to fairies, nature, the angels who watch over me, mermaids, dragons, and phoenixes. I was born under a waxing crescent moon, signifying intention.
I believe life is in perfect divine order, and I believe we chose this life before we were even born. We knew exactly what would happen. I believe we chose these unique human lives for a reason; a purpose. Many tell me they don’t know what their life purpose is, and that’s ok. It isn’t about knowing the words to describe it. It’s about being at peace flowing through life. The joy in life does not come from the words, but rather the deeper connection to the spirit, that is our feelings. If you don’t have the words, follow your feelings. They will guide you to your highest self. If you find joy in doing something, keep doing it. Do not put yourself in the same box as others if it does not call you. Follow your unique path. There you will grow.
My callings are to many of the hobbies which I do. Singing, making jewelry, acting, aerial silks, art, dancing, writing, speaking… they allow me to grow into my own shoes. To be whole.
I believe everything in life is on a spectrum. Sexuality, gender, the color of our skin, the shape of our nose; any and all physical features. Our personalities. Extremes on this spectrum do exist, however, not all fall on one or the other side. This is why it is beyond imperative for us to accept and love each other equally despite these things. Because we are all people. We are ALL unique. And we are never meant to all fit together in the same box. Fighting who we are as individuals will not lead to happiness, contentment, or peace. It will not lead us into growth. People are pushed down for their differences, when difference is what makes us flourish. Stepping into your own shoes without fear of judgement from others, allows you to be your highest self. To feel whole. This is one of the reasons I am so passionate about fighting the media at times. Our minds become flooded with the ideas that we are flawed. And if we are flawed in the eyes of others, our worth decreases. Our beauty decreases. And that is not right. This is the reason I fight so hard to remind people that no matter their physical appearance, they are beautiful. We are ALL equally beautiful, no matter the color of our skin, the acne on our faces, the weight of our bodies, the shape of our noses. None of it decreases your beauty. Not one person in this world looks EXACTLY the same as another. There is no one in this world like you and don’t ever fall for the idea that you are not enough, because you are. We all are. We serve our own purpose on this planet, different from everyone else. Our paths with never be the same. So we must honor and respect our own and those around us. To bring more acceptance is to bring more love.
And my purpose on this planet is to do just that.
I am McKenna Weinbaum and this is who I am.
